Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. She was born on 25 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at the London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. She managed to make it with the stipend she received from her students while working part time jobs. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied with her skill when compared with her peers and contemplated a possible alternative path she might follow. Lennox was a flute player in a band named Dragons Playground in 1976. She left the band prior to her group being invited to compete on I.T.V.'s talent competition New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist for The Tourists (a British popband) between 1977 and 1980. She began to meet Dave Stewart, with whom she would form the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox collaborated on her solo first album Diva. The album was released in 1993. Both commercially as well as critically it was a huge achievement. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was released in October 2014. The C.D. Lennox has selected her top blues, soul and jazz songs. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four songs that were improvised by piano that Lennox has released in May 2019. The E.P. The singer-songwriter released her debut solo album along with her artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art with the title "Now I'll Let You Go." Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on the 25th of December. She is a social activist, philanthropist, and singer. After a brief successes as a part of the group known as The Tourists in the late 1970s she and fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to become internationally renowned as the pop duo Eurythmics during the 80s. Lennox started her solo career in 1992, with the release of Diva with a number of successful songs like Why as well as walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is her studio album from 1995. The album features covers of some songs, including The No MoreI I Love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. Six solo studio albums as well as a compilation album at her disposal.
